brand new Weird Al vid - covering The Doors OMG )

Through with the first season of Leverage, and am I glad there's new eps next month! Oh god, this show makes me so happy &hearts It's a mix of all the silly action shows of the 80s I loved as a kid, BUT it also has Wacky Jane XD Not to mention the other adorable characters. And holy hell, while I basically ship every variation, Parker/Sophie? HO YESSSSSS. Shipped them from their first jump. Best LesYay since ... Ever? SOMEONE WRITE ME FIC.

My mother brought a huge glass of olives. I am very excited.

GYM GYM GYM. It was so good &hearts I'll probably go again Friday in two weeks for the evening shift. Wheeee!!

Okay, important thing: that silly Windows update killed my PC (I should re-christen him Jack, because he came back to me with the harddisk intact), and I lost my inbox - all my mails and addys :( So, if you kids would please send me your last couple of mails I didn't reply to again? Cheers!

And how cute is the new companion anyway? The more I see, the more I want it to be next year already. I am such a pushover when it comes to Who, though - they keep giving what I don't want, and I love it.

I managed to score a tiny Speedo-Scott picture and am very happy about it. The only thing the wank decided for me is that I finally took F_W off my to-read list. They haven't brought the funny in months (Where's the old gang? I don't like the new people, they're boring), and now they've all gone on a Barrowman-hate-spree, I really don't feel like hanging out there anymore.

Anyways, I sorted out my Sean Maher pictures and thought I'd post some, because pretty guys are always good, right? Plus, Sean is absolutely adorable and you know it. Everyone needs a bit more Sean in their lives, I feel.

I accidently typed lj-cute text, heh )
Now with added Nathan Fillion! )

[I am mellow]

EWANNNNNN! Man, I don't think he was ever hotter than in "Angels & Demons". Yum. But seriously, I mean, I haven't read the book, but you really shouldn't think about the plot, should you? If you shut your brain off it's great fun, but I can't imagine why anyone would be upset about this movie. It's even more obviously constructed than a telenovela.

So I don't like Twitter AT ALL, but I am very amused by the Epic Love Story between Nathan F. and Matt L.. And somebody tell Matthew Lewis I'm on the way. Ehehehee.

[I am hungry]

Aloha. Sorta in a taking mood right now, which means I love to read and listen, but not write or talk. Or did, as I am writing right now. Anyway, busy days and lots of things happening, on work and off - spend a lot of time on the building site (mostly fun), cat started bleeding out of her rectum and nearly gave everyone a heart attack (she's fine now), grandma died (she's not), fell in love with Leverage (GUH, Gina Bellman, GUH), am still on a Mal/Simon binge (that comes regular every couple of months, and hell, I'm not complaining), lots of hanging out in the sun (new fave game: playing velcro-ball with Sarah, Markus, and his car), and yeah. Oh, fell in love with Kimba's vet. Gorgeous, single, straight, and a vet. Perfect. Okay, so I'm joking (mostly), but it would have been nice. Ah well.

How are you folks doing? I feel like I've been away for two weeks.

[I am sick]

Kommt wer mit zum ZDF Fernsehgarten? *snorts*

Fantastic weekend, apart from the fact that I'm a total idiot. But I've already got a big pack of antihistamines for the next time I visit a friend with a cat.

So many questions, though. Why is there no Love Boat fanfic? And why would I suddenly do Doc? Why can't I buy the roll-out garden without those super expensive cleaning mops? Why is there no Bad Sheep slash? Why isn't there more Klinsmann/Löw slash? Und warum ist es eigentlich am Rhein so schön?

[I am productive]

[and listening to "Silly Really" by Per Gessle]

I just couldnt let that go. Come on, join the Gessle ride, everybody! Get your downloads here!

Mazarin - Swedish album. Extremely good background music. Click here if you don't believe me!

Son Of A Plumber - just plain fantastic. If you really think of Per as that fugly pop dude from Roxette, I urge you to download this one. Amazingly beautiful and happiness-inducing doesn't even begin to cover it. Not cutting the clip because he's gorgeous.

The World According To Gessle - first solo album, most like Roxette. Really strange music videos, too o_0

Party Crasher - newest album, very dancey. How come Lady GaGa is so successful and he's not? No fair. Not cutting the clip this time, because you should really be using flash block anyway.

[I am tired]

Sooo, watched the S3 Finale last night, and I am so happy with it &hearts I'm not sure if there will be a S4, so for now I have to say this finale had everything I could have wanted and then some! I love it when a show ends on a complete, awesome high with a perfect happy ending. At least for me. Depends on who you ship and who you like, of course. That ending might be a complete catastrophe for other viewers ;) But what I found very interesting over the course of the show is the stance it takes on morals. Now, since basically everyone on this show is into their own gender, with a couple of bisexual characters (well, two, IIRC) and one heterosexual person, lots of nudity and graphic sex scenes, and a general carefree view on sex (as in it's not a big deal), the average viewer might expect what I think some people would call "loose morals". Interestingly enough, I find that the very opposite is the fact. Varying sexual partners are not seen as a bad thing here, not at all, but in the end it seems that monogamy is the ideal. All the variations of the couple seem to at least try to be monogamous, and if it doesn't work out, it is a huge deal. At one point one character (B) tells another (G) that G just hasn't found the right person yet. And while G seems perfectly happy with his hedonistic lifestyle, in the end he turns out a family man in a monogamous relationship (because that's not necessarily the same thing) out of his own free will. I don't feel the need to interpret this, it's just something I noticed a lot over the course of the show. In the end, for all the free sex, it's pretty traditional.

[I am still sore]

BWAHAHAHAHAHA

one more, because I love them )

Also: Hallelujah!! What have we done to deserve this??? What a gig! What a crowd! This reception is way beyond anything I can remember!!! My-gosh-almighty! Everything was purrfect from the first chord to the last. We've noticed so many familiar faces in the front row so we decided to rehearse "Sleeping in my car" at the soundcheck. It sounded OK so after "Steppin' stone" we thought we'd have a go for you guys upfront!!! Cheers, hope you liked it!!!
Switz tomorrow (this tour has become a.... monster... fantastic!!!!)

Tired but happy, P.

[I am sore]

Look, Per. I love you. I do. Have for most of my life. It's really not necessary to say in the second encore that you'd like to play a song for yourself, something awesome, something you love playing, and that you can only hope we'll like it, too, and then play THE BLOODY FUCKING MONKEES. I still appreciate it. Considering I ALMOST DIED OF AWESOME.

But seriously, Per Gessle? Most brilliant person ever. I'm not even giving details, he's just the most brilliantly awesome guy I have ever seen, and I am very proud of my pre-pubescent self for having been frighteningly much in love with him. GOOD CHOICE, ME. And I'm not alone - it's amazing how many people were there, and the demographics! About one fourth straight couples, one fourth girl friends, one fourth guy friends, one fourth gay couples. Seriously, there were more guys than girls, I think. And pretty equally divided in guys out as friends, with their girlfriends, or with their boyfriends. Just another proof of Per's general awesomeness. Pretty good mix of Roxette and solo stuff, too. And yes, sorry 'bout that Rest Of Fantastic Musicians I Have Seen Live, but doing the clap-clap clap at the end of "Dressed For Success"? Best gig moment EVER. Possibly because I've done this in my room all the bloody time when I was in fifth grade. ARGH.

... Oh, and the choice of song when he walked on stage? "The Sound Of Music". Yeah, I died a lot last night.

[I am melancholy]

[and listening to "Come Around Again" by Jet]

The mood theme is rather defective. Tons of moods most people never use, and important ones missing. I'm not melancholy, I'm upbeat sentimental. I just chose melancholy because nothing else fit either.

Aww, man. I adore Castle so fucking much. It just doesn't stop being awesome. I know people complain about it being formulaic, but seriously - it's a freaking crime show with snark. What could they do? Dress everyone in superhero costumes? Only let them find the true killer every third episode? What? I love so much about it - the father/daughter stuff is the best I remember seeing in, uh, I don't remember how long, I adore Susan Sullivan (I always forget to show her to my mother, we used to watch Falcon Crest when I was a kid, and gee, she still looks fantastic), and I totally ship the boys, and I love how they love Kate and how she loves them back. And yes, I think the Castle/Beckett is so very well done, because it's there, but it's not annoyingly in your face. It's very moonlighty, but it's not the main point. So yeah. So far there is nothing I don't like about this show. Nothing.

In other news, the love of my life from 10 to 13? I'm gonna see him on Monday. I am ridiculously excited and I don't care how embarrassing other people might find it. Per Gessle = &hearts &hearts &hearts

As it is the fest of fertility, I bring you a Brandon Manilow picspam. Please refrain from making jokes about eggs, I already made them all myself.

Look, he's a gay porn star. What do you think the pictures will be like? )

[I am amused]

[and listening to the second ep of Dante's Cove on VLC player]

You know, I enjoy Dante's Cove a whole lot more the second time around. And it's such a good example of bad acting + a bad storyline = fun times. Also, Van = &hearts

Speaking of fun times:

Oh dear. He seems slightly on crack. Love the shirt, though.

Plus, am I the only one who finds Sacha Cohen rather, uhm, attractive in his new movie? *is slighty disturbed*

Okay, I'm at 20 minutes of 1.07, and I am not sure I can watch on. This is about the same level as some of the best/worst episodes of er, but with the addition of it being Freema. And I'm creeped about by the fact that the doctor looks a bit like Noah Wyle. But yeah, I think the last time a TV show made me feel like this was one of those really bad er eps. And with bad I mean brilliant, but really bad.

But wow, Freema and Jamie.

[I am peaceful]

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. Hurra! Brauche mehr Tonke Dragt...

Sorry, non-German/Dutch/Spanish/Danish folks, this doesn't exist in your language. You're missing out, trust me.

[I am content]

[and listening to "The Beginning is The End is The Beginning" by Smashing Pumpkins]

Law & Order: UK - still really good, Castle still really brilliant.

Really not good: Ivanhoe. Dear god, what a bunch of dull, pseudo-butch, misogynistic, antisemitic drivel. Now I'm scared of Robin Hood. (I realize that the nineteenth century version of an action movie for teenage boys is not going to be politically correct, but merciful heavens, that was very very bad. And no, pointing out from time to time that rape is not very nice and Jews actually have feelings does not make up for 400 pages of explicit hate and implicit LOL GIRLS.)

I don't get it. Okay, so I'm the one person who can't stand Brett's Holmes, but apart from that, I always have fun with Holmes movies (well, disregarding that Buffoon!Watson makes me want to hurt people). I mean, I even like the Matt Frewer movies and the cartoon show. Hell, my favourite Holmes is Ronald Howard! And while I don't like Jude Law (he scares me, don't ask), I love the way he looks as Watson. I like RDJ. I was worried about the shitty old Holmes/Adler thingy, but they seem to work it well. The Holmes/Watson stuff sounds good. So why do I cringe every time I see anything about this movie? I want to enjoy it. I usually enjoy Holmes movies. But for some reason I feel resigned to hate this one. Maybe it's the "OMG we're totally reinventing the story" stuff. Yeah. That's like saying you have this awesome new horror movie idea about some people coming back from the dead with a yearning for human flesh.

[I am giggly]

[and listening to "Out Of Space" by The Prodigy]

GUH. Went to see Knacki Deuser last night. In case you don't know who he is: he's basically the funniest Comedian Germany has, and he looks like this. And he can dance. And tapdance while wearing rollerskates. And do "Romeo & Juliet: The Juggle Version". I was laughing tears during the entire second half, I soaked two tissues completely though. And he's even more gorgeous up close and personal. Sarah is still totally starstruck. We both had the hugest crush on him before, but now...

"What Germany needs are new impulses! Just do things differently! Run into a bank, and then just steal a pen! Go to the employment office, have someone explain the forms to you, and then say nah, too complicated, I'll just go on working then!"

My father's birthday today, and he's been a non-smoker for 12 days now! Yay!
